Terms And Conditions
Race City Autoworks
Terms & Conditions
1. Returns & Refunds
Race City Autoworks accepts eligible return requests within 30 days of the original order date. All returns must be approved in advance by Race City Autoworks and require a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number before the item is shipped back.
- 30-Day Return Window: Return requests must be initiated within 30 days of the original order date. Requests submitted after this period may be denied, except where otherwise required by law.
- RMA Required: Customers must contact Race City Autoworks to obtain an RMA before returning any product. Unauthorized returns may be refused.
- Restocking Fee: Approved returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee, calculated on the purchase price of the returned item(s).
- Return Condition: Unless otherwise agreed or required by law, returned items must be unused, uninstalled, unmodified, in resalable condition, and include the original packaging and all components.
- Refunds: Returned products will be inspected upon receipt. Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method, less applicable restocking fees and any nonrefundable shipping charges, where permitted by law.
- Return Shipping: Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to an error by Race City Autoworks or another arrangement is approved in advance.
- Non-Returnable Items: Special-order, custom, installed, used, modified, or final-sale items may be ineligible for return. These restrictions do not apply where a return or remedy is required by law.
Defective, damaged, or incorrectly shipped items should be reported promptly so Race City Autoworks can review the issue and determine the appropriate resolution.
2. Order Cancellations
Race City Autoworks permits cancellation requests for eligible in-stock items within 48 hours of placing the order. A 5% cancellation fee applies only when the order is for an in-stock item that is already in the process of being shipped.
- Eligible Cancellations: The 5% cancellation fee applies only to in-stock items that are in the shipping process when the cancellation is requested within the 48-hour window.
- No Fee Outside These Conditions: The 5% fee does not apply to orders that do not meet both conditions above. Other applicable costs or obligations may still apply where permitted by law and disclosed to the customer.
- Orders Already Shipped: Orders that have already shipped may not be canceled and may instead be subject to the return policy in Section 1.
- Special-Order and Custom Items: Special-order or custom items may be subject to separate cancellation restrictions disclosed at the time of purchase.
- Cancellation Requests: Customers must contact Race City Autoworks directly to request cancellation. A cancellation is not confirmed until Race City Autoworks provides confirmation.
Any cancellation fee will be disclosed and applied in accordance with applicable law and the terms communicated at the time of purchase.
3. In-Shop Service Warranty
Race City Autoworks provides a limited warranty covering eligible labor and workmanship for 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever occurs first, beginning on the date the applicable service is completed.
This warranty covers defects in workmanship directly attributable to services performed by Race City Autoworks. Warranty claims are subject to inspection and verification by the shop.
Labor Warranty Coverage
- The warranty applies to qualifying labor and workmanship performed by Race City Autoworks.
- The warranty does not automatically cover unrelated components, pre-existing conditions, normal wear and tear, misuse, neglect, accidents, improper maintenance, or unauthorized modifications.
- Repairs or adjustments determined to be outside the scope of this warranty may incur additional charges, which will be communicated to the customer before work proceeds.
Parts Warranty
Race City Autoworks' warranty covers eligible labor and workmanship, not the parts themselves. Parts purchased through Race City Autoworks may carry a separate manufacturer's warranty, subject to the manufacturer's terms, conditions, and approval process.
Customers must contact the applicable manufacturer for claims involving defective parts, replacement parts, or manufacturer-specific coverage. Any labor associated with a parts replacement or repair is covered only if expressly included in the applicable warranty or otherwise required by law.
Customer-Supplied Parts
When a customer supplies their own parts for installation or use in a service job, Race City Autoworks does not provide its 12-month/12,000-mile workmanship warranty for that service job, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Customers are responsible for the quality, condition, fitment, compatibility, and suitability of customer-supplied parts. Race City Autoworks is not responsible for defects or failures originating from those parts or for resulting damage attributable to defective, incompatible, improperly specified, or unsuitable customer-supplied parts, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
Any manufacturer warranty applicable to customer-supplied parts must be pursued directly with the manufacturer or original seller. Nothing in this section excludes or limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived under North Carolina or federal law.
4. Warranty Claims & Inspection
Customers seeking warranty service must contact Race City Autoworks and provide the original service invoice, vehicle information, and a description of the issue.
Race City Autoworks reserves the right to inspect the vehicle and perform reasonable diagnostics to determine whether the reported issue qualifies for coverage. Customers should obtain authorization from the shop before undertaking repairs elsewhere if they intend to seek coverage under this warranty.
Coverage is limited to qualifying workmanship issues within the applicable warranty period. Any additional diagnostics, repairs, or services not covered by the warranty will be discussed with the customer before work proceeds.
5. Compliance With North Carolina Law
Race City Autoworks operates in accordance with applicable North Carolina and federal laws.
For in-shop motor vehicle repairs, the shop will comply with applicable requirements regarding written estimates, customer authorization, repair invoices, and other disclosures. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to waive statutory consumer protections or limit any rights that cannot legally be excluded.
If any provision of this policy is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
